DJ AM is the most recent to fall victim to the celebrity OD batch. Rumors state that he was a major crack head, though what rumors are we meant to believe. Really....
I was taken back by the fact he used to play in that band 'Crazy Town'. The singer looked like a Pokemon covered in tattoos.
Actually. They all do.
Woh.
Dead DJ, Dead Disco dancer...hand in hand it shall go.

Motherblog 13 (Stepheniqua)
Before this banter takes flight, a friend posted this on her facebook page.
Timeless.
My top pick is 'Unidastazovamerikaliqua'.
My Stephen King week has begun. I just finished watching 'IT' which has always been a great film.
Though one part in particular that slipped my mind previous times before was when the array of light turns Henry bowers into a splitting image of Eurythmics.
1
2
nice touch with the corpse stuck in the grill. Nice.
I am currently upto watching 'Maximum Overdrive' (soundtrack by AC/DC and post mighty ducks emilio estevez!)
Opening scene is a hit!
ATM called a 'Money Man II' calls a guy an asshole then to complain to his wife about it.
I tried to find out if there were actual money man cash points existing in the US. Though you know if there was there would be typical tourist photographs everywhere of someone just getting cash out of it and posing for a photograph holding the money up.... yeah
A small note for the 6 lads that tried to pick a fight with me last night. I hope karma rains down upon you hard. Though me saying this wont really make a difference but deep down i already know you will be in gaol by the time you turn 21.
You will be feasting on bigger things than a late night kebab at Terrigal. kapeesh.

Motherblog 11 (bait yourself and cast)
The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg.
I could not honestly care less about any other band that has broken up ever. (not really)
This destroyed me.
On the bright side the second project called 'Lovvers' is just as impressive.
On a completely different subject (the subject being ourselves). We have recently just recorded our first Podcast for our past DJ set at the taxi club celebrating the lives of all our favorite deceased artists. General banter and 5 tracks from the two well mothered young boys. Heres the link if you would like to check it out and listen to it on one of your portable music devices.
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=327457211
“Death is very often referred to as a good career move,” Buddy Holly. (how ironic)
I made a large decision last night whilst playing Street Fighter 4 on Playstation 3.
I am much more of a mortal kombat fan.
Not so much on character basis. The controls really do make a lot more sense.
After the Street Fighter battles followed the devouring 5 pizza's and 2 garlic breads whilst watching 'Pet Sematary'. (classic)
After realising the zombified child looks a lot like one of Michael Jackson's sons. I did the whole 'Where are they now' study.
The young 'Miko Hughes' aka 'Gage Creed' is now 23. Wrote 2 albums at the age of 9.
He also likes to play video games like 'Dance Dance Revolution'
DJ's under the name of 'DJ Cubed' and also has his own blog called 'infinity disco'.
http://woeismiko.blogspot.com/
AND is a beekeeper.
Personally i am impressed. One child star is finally keeping it real and not taking the path of a drug addiction and excessive weight gain.
from this..

Motherblog 10 (Death of a genius)
The man behind some of my favorite films has passed away.
John Hughes (59)
I remember my first film i saw which John Hughes wrote was 'Uncle buck' starring John Candy and Macaulay Culkin.
Although at a young age, i knew comedy genius when i saw it.
The classics kept rolling in afterwards whether it be from now era, or then.
The next film was 'Home Alone'. It was a whole new peak in comedy. I was obsessed with the film and i had a new god.
Kevin McAllister.
The VCR gave me the advantage watch them whenever i liked. memories...
I was living in a great year for great movies.
-Curly Sue
-Beethoven
-Home Alone II: Lost in New York
-Dennis The Menace
-Baby's Day Out (a friend and i managed to hire this out last night).
By this stage i was at the relevant age to watch the "then" classics like:
-Mr Mom, National Lampoons Vacation, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink,
Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Great Outdoors.
These movies gave birth to some of the most creative characters ever to hit the screen. Fact.
Uncle Eddie(Randy Quaid)
Uncle Buck (John Candy)
There was a time and still is, where some writers and directors have attempted to re-create movies similar or better than some of these movies mentioned above. So far no one has even touched cotton...
Besides the Beethoven trilogy. They were all exceptional!

Motherblog 10 (Den Motherbolini)
A friend showed me this clip the other day. Got hard.
I managed to see an early 80s film the other day which i believe was the first movie Deborah Harry starred in along side James Woods, the movie was called 'Videodrome'. I know it is going to be even better next time i see it.
A good chance of a re-release in the next few years and call it 'internetdrome'. You have my vote.
Death to videodrome! Long live the new flesh!

Motherblog 9 (back to the putrid)
After continuous few weeks of not being able to do my handful of comfort activities. (like keeping this page frequent)
I finally got the faith to accept a ticket to 'Splendour In The Grass'.
Since my terrible experience at 'The Big Day Out' this year i was a little hesitant. To call it a festival might be a little to unethical. I would look more a long the lines of a patriot convention or Summernats to give you more of an insight of the atmosphere.
(just to piss on the ashes the line up was just as offensive, I only wanted to see my good friends 'The Scare' and the final act 'Neil Young').
The most exciting part about Splendour was the fact I had never been to this festival before, or to Byron Bay so there are two that I can tick of my list for 09. I could not resist after how a number of friends speak so highly of it.
I managed to score a guest pass off my roommate and good friend Simon from 'The Lost Valentino’s'.
My good friend Liam managed to also get one the same week.
We hired a car and drove up north to Byron and arrived there late in the evening. We arrived a little later than planned and unfortunately missed out on seeing our friends 'Bridezilla’ play on the first day.
There was only really one other band that day we did not want to miss out on. The 80's
alt rock, dance outfit from Manchester, "Happy Mondays". Rowetta's backing vocals were so powerful it was like she was giving birth in my ear! Overall it was a great set and I had never seen anything like it.
'Happy Mondays' were the last set of the day. We later managed to hitch a ride with a boy driving out of the festival and stayed at a friends place just outside of Byron. (I have not hitched a ride since I had a bad experience a few years ago when a car full of wasters picked me up and would not let me out unless I had drugs to hand over, to my dismay, I did not. They taunted me for another few km’s and dropped me off an hour out of town).
On Sunday Liam and I caught a free bus ride into the festival. We went to see the multi-instrumentalist Christian folk band 'The Middle East'. Which was pleasant considering the time of the day and there was not a lot people traffic at this time which gave us the advantage to walk around quiet freely.
We left the set early to catch 'The Lost Valentino’s' who had quiet the large crowd of spectator’s. Their manager was handing out coins to the crowd (which I knew would have ended in a disaster of coins raining from the sky.) There was a lot of movement and dancing around to the bass fueled set of the Valentino’s, Then the expected had begun. The coins were falling and embedding into the ground like hail stones.
We managed to get the chance to walk into town for some REAL food after the regret of thinking that $15 for enchiladas would be a good idea. It turned out there vision of enchiladas were three snack size curry puffs on a plate with lettuce and salsa. From this experience I have now and forever given up on festival food.
Whilst walking around in town we grabbed a burrito and hung out for a while until we had to go back and catch the next act. A guy drove past and accused me of looking like 'Edward Norton' as an insult. I though that was more of a compliment if anything.....
It was time to head back to the festival so we hitched back to the festival (its supposed to be common in Byron), so I continued to go along with it.
This time the driver was a parachute packer, then later found out he was also a sky diver but was too humble to say.
We waited out for the final act 'The Flaming Lips'. The set made my week! A back drop projection of a naked girl’s silhouette opening her legs and gave birth to the bands entrance. Wayne Coyne then made his entrance inside an inflatable ball and progressed to roll around in the crowd. Everything seemed so perfect at that moment. The opening song was like a Christmas Parade.
Streamers shooting out from the roof and giant balloons were filling the air. Along side the expensive stage show the performance was amazing and will go down in history. FACT.
On our way home we made the late decision of making a surprise visit to my parents home. What more would make a perfect weekend then to have a relaxing few days at your old family abode for a bit of rest, relaxation and Cable television. The first day we went surfing and later realising how unfit we both were after being in the water for half an hour the exhaustion and feeling sea sick was disappointing though it is the greatest formula for the perfect sleep.
A few things to keep in mind after this trip are as followed.
First, to still have a little faith in some Australian festivals and secondly,
Hitch hiking is still accepted and partially safe in some parts of Australia though I am not that easy to give in. I know there are a whole new breed of Ivan Milats out there sitting in there cube asbestos shacks waiting for there next run of bad reality TV shows to give them enough time to get trigger happy on some young adults trying to experience a cheap way to travel.
